Terms and Conditions

When you submit a booking via our online reservation system you will receive an automatically generated booking summary by email to the email address you provide in the booking form. This does not form a contract between us. A contract will only arise when your booking is subsequently confirmed in writing via an emailed letter of confirmation.

To secure your booking a non-refundable deposit of 30 % (or full payment) of the cost of your stay is required. Bookings must be paid in full 8 weeks before your visit start time. If the booking is made less than 8 weeks from the date of your stay full payment must be made at the time of booking. At present we only take cheques or bank transfers. Confirmation of the booking will be sent after the deposit or full payment has been received.

Brocklands only accepts bookings from persons over 18 years of age. We reserve the right, at all times, without statement of reasons, to refuse or cancel a booking.

The prices featured on the website are not binding. Brocklands reserves the right to modify these prices. At the time of booking you will be informed of the price applicable. The price stated on the confirmation invoice is binding.

It’s very important to plan your journey so that you arrive  during the daylight. Arriving and settling into your safari tent is the beginning of your adventure; from driving onto the field, to unloading your luggage and wheel barrowing everything across the field, it’s all part of the experience. However, it’s unlike arriving at a hotel where you park up and walk across a well lit path to the hotel, so please do plan to arrive during daylight hours, it really is essential. It will take time to load & unload and then unpack, light the lamps and the wood burning stove. The night sky is wonderful here – but it really is pitch black.

We would be grateful if you could advise us of your intended arrival time the day before and update us en-route. You are welcome to arrive any time before dusk on your specified arrival date, however your tent may not be ready until 4pm. Cars must be parked in the car parking area and a trolley used to transport your luggage to the tent. Please vacate your tent by 11.00 on the day of your departure, leaving it clean and tidy with all washing up done and rubbish put in the bin.

If you cancel within 8 weeks of your arrival date we will endeavour to re-let your tent. If we are unable to do so we regret that no refund will be made. Prior to 8 weeks of your arrival date we will refund any monies paid less your deposit or reschedule your stay for another date. An administration fee of £50 will be charged in this instance. We recommend that you have appropriate insurance cover.

We require a refundable security deposit of £50 to cover any damages or breakages.  This will be refunded within 14 days of your departure.

In the event that we need to cancel your holiday we will inform you as soon as possible and refund all monies paid to us, by you, within 14 days.

Day visitors are welcome, but not more than 1 extra car please.

We are happy to welcome 2 dogs at a supplement of £25 eah. Dogs must be kept under control at all times and must not be left unsupervised nor allowed on the furniture. Please do not allow them into the crops as we have ground nesting birds who would be disturbed. Please clean up after you pet(s).

Noise can carry from this site. Please keep noise down after 10.30pm. Smoking is not permitted at any time within the tent or on the decks. Please do not leave any candles, lanterns or fires unattended.

By booking and coming to Brocklands you agree to be responsible for your children and any children you are in charge of, and your own welfare and to take all reasonable precautions against personal injury, injury to others and damage to facilities, landscape and tent. We provide an optional fireguard for the wood burner, but it is your responsibility to keep any children safe around it and any camp fires/bbq that you may light.

Our compost toilet is easy to use and kind to the environment. It works by separating the urine, which avoids smell. Please would all males sit down to use the toilet. Nothing but toilet paper should be put down the toilet. Please use the bin provided for anything else.

Brocklands accepts no liability for thef,t loss or damage that may arise from a stay at Brocklands.
