Spring has arrived

It has been a joy to hear the skylarks singing away as I’ve walked the farm the last few days. These birds are on the Red List due to their rapid decline, but we regularly have some nesting on the farm. They are easy to spot high in the air once you have heard their song and will breed from April to August in nests hidden in the middle of fields. That’s why we ask visitors to keep their dogs on leads round the fields.
